Qiuyu Chen is an interdisciplinary textile artist with an MA in Extended Practice (Fashion and the Body) from Goldsmiths, University of London and a BA in Fashion Design from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts. Her work spans the fields of hand-knitting, knitting, crochet, dyeing and AI fashion, and aims to explore the relationship between materials, the body and digital technology. Her practice is inspired by traditional craftsmanship while embracing artificial intelligence and digital tools to experimentally redefine the interaction between clothing and the body. With a wealth of industry experience gained through her involvement in design, marketing and sales for a number of brands, she has created her own label, Yuuiu Studio, which is dedicated to bringing new life to textiles by combining craftsmanship, sustainable ideas and technology.

Yuuiu Studio is a creative space that boldly explores the possibilities of colour and pattern. We specialise in hand-woven, knitted, crocheted and experimental dyeing, giving textiles a new lease of life through vibrant colour clashes and unique texture designs.

At Yuuiu Studio, colour is not only a visual expression, but also an emotional language. We challenge the boundaries of traditional craftsmanship, combining handmade techniques with modern design concepts, flamboyant and harmonious colour palettes, and dynamic pattern construction to create energetic pieces. Our creations, which include clothing, home textiles and art installations, are designed to stimulate the senses with the warmth of craftsmanship and modern design, and to inject a unique artistic atmosphere into everyday life.
